Privacy Policy

Overview

Imbas is an AI behavioral measurement company. This Privacy Policy explains what information Imbas collects through the site, how it is used, and what choices you have.

Information we collect

Imbas may collect:

• Email addresses submitted through signup forms on the site.
• Information you send directly by email, such as your name, email address, organization, and message content.
• Basic technical and log information collected by hosting providers, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps.
• Field Notes signup submissions, including email address, the page where you signed up, a created timestamp, and browser user agent when provided by your browser.

Imbas does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information, such as government ID numbers, financial account details, precise health records, or similar categories of sensitive data.

If you submit an AI answer or topic for review, Imbas stores the information you provide, including your email address, so we can evaluate the submission and respond. These submissions are not published automatically.

Workbench submissions

When you use the Workbench, you may paste AI answers, compare case results, or submit investigation suggestions. If you submit this information, Imbas may collect:

• the text you paste or submit
• case identifiers, model names, and related measurement metadata
• an optional email address if you provide one

This information may be stored in Airtable, a third-party database service used to review submissions, maintain records, and improve Imbas cases and methodology.

Do not submit sensitive personal, confidential, privileged, regulated, or proprietary information through the Workbench. Reader outputs inspect answer behavior; they do not independently verify factual claims.

Workbench runs may be logged for operational records. Creating a share link produces an unlisted record viewable by anyone with the link.

Unlisted inspection share links

Workbench inspections are not automatically published to the reviewed archive. If you choose to create a share link, Imbas creates an unlisted inspection record that can be viewed by anyone with the link. A share publishes the question and short quoted excerpts from the Reader output with a labeled estimate — never the full answer you submitted. Shares created before 2026-07-10 were removed. Unlisted Workbench inspections are not reviewed archive cases. Do not create a share link for information you do not want link recipients to see.

How we use information

Imbas uses collected information to:

• Send Field Notes, launch updates, early access notes, or other Imbas communications you request or subscribe to.
• Respond to inquiries.
• Operate, maintain, and secure the site.
• Understand basic site performance and interest in Imbas.
• Improve Imbas content, methodology, and communication.

How information is shared

Imbas may use service providers to host the site, process submissions, store records, and operate related infrastructure. Imbas may share information with:

• Hosting providers that operate the site.
• Email and newsletter infrastructure used to send communications.
• Database and record-keeping services, such as Airtable, used to store Field Notes signups and review Workbench submissions.
• Professional service providers if needed, such as legal, security, or technical support providers.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.

Imbas does not sell personal information.

Cookies and analytics

Imbas uses Vercel Web Analytics for basic site measurement, such as aggregate page views, referrers, browser and device information, and general geography. Imbas does not use Google Analytics, ad pixels, session replay, or heatmaps, and does not sell personal data.

Field Notes signup

When you subscribe to Field Notes through signup forms on the site, your email address is sent to Imbas through a server-side route at /api/field-notes-signup. Imbas may store your email address, the page where you signed up, a created timestamp, and your browser user agent (if provided by your browser) in Airtable, a third-party database service. Access credentials for Airtable are kept in server-side environment variables and are not exposed in the site’s public code.

You can unsubscribe from emails using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting Imbas at brendan@imbaslabs.com.

Data retention

Imbas keeps email, signup, and contact information for as long as needed to operate Field Notes, respond to inquiries, maintain records, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your information.

Reader runs and shares

Content you paste into the Reader, and any share pages you create from it, is governed by the Data Retention and Deletion policy, which states what Imbas stores, how long it is kept, how shares work, and how to request deletion.

Your choices

You may:

• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Request correction of your information where applicable.

California privacy note

Imbas operates from California. Imbas does not sell personal information. Imbas does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you are a California resident and have questions about your information, contact brendan@imbaslabs.com.

Children’s privacy

The site is not directed to children under 13. Imbas does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Imbas, contact brendan@imbaslabs.com.

Security

Imbas uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service is perfectly secure.

International users

If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or wherever Imbas or its service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

Imbas may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
